I love roller sets because it's a healthy way to maintain relaxed hair. You don't have to flat iron or blow dry to achieve bouncy, silky, flowing tresses. This is how I style my hair every week. It's difficult to learn at first but with practice you can definitely master the technique.
Steps To Roller Setting
1. Always shampoo and deep condition your hair. Towel dry. Do not rub the towel through out your entire head, doing so can cause breakage.
2. Depending on the length and thickness of your hair, apply your favorite moisturizers concentrating on your roots and ends. I like to use Neutrogena Silk Touch Leave-In, Keracare Foam Wrap Lotion followed by some Alma Oil.
3. With a rat tail comb part your hair straight down the middle stopping almost at the crown of your head. Than make a side part. Section off that part 1 by 1 into sections and roll.
4. To curl take a roller and place it on your ends. Smooth your ends on the roller than roll it all the way up towards you. Secure it with a clip at the base of the roller. If you have to use more than 2 clips do so.
5. Repeat the same steps for the opposite side in the front.
6. Now proceed to roller set the back of your head. Make 2 parts, one on the left and one on the right. There should be 3 sections in the back. Pin up 2 sections, and roller set 1 starting from top to bottom.
7. Repeat the steps for the other 2 sections.
8. When set is complete sit under a hooded dryer for at least 1 to 2 hours. Or air dry, this could take as long as a day though.
9. Make sure your hair is completely dry than proceed to take out each roller carefully.
10. You can now wrap your hair, or lightly blow out your roots.

I just followed your video for roller setting and it helped so much, Usually it takes me up to an hour to roller set, but following your method I was done in about 40-45 minutes, I know the next time my speed will improve. Also I didn't have to redue any of the rollers, usually I'll do one section 2-3 times before its right, and even better my arms didn't hurt during or after roller setting. I'm under the dryer right now but I'll make another post with my results. Thanks so much for the tutorial. :)
I saw your roller set video and the one with your Hot Tools dryer. I have some questions about using it. How long does it take for your roller set to dry? Do you have any problems fitting your head under the hood with those big rollers? How long have you had it?
Next time I roller set I'm going to try put the rollers in the way you did. Thanks:-)
